I’m not gonna trust the headline of an article with an AI image from a place called epicenter.works.
I’m Hunter Perrin. I’m a software engineer.

I’m not gonna trust the headline of an article with an AI image from a place called epicenter.works.
He’s addicted to the Microsoft flavored kool-aid.
Half the population would believe the asteroid is a hoax spread by the [insert ethnic or religious group here].
The article photo looks like these three women have slowed down to get a good look at me as I struggle to keep my food away from three hungry raccoons in my underwear (me in my underwear, not the raccoons) on my front lawn next to a bouncy castle the raccoons have all but taken over at this point.
I own physical copies of whatever I can. And I have a Jellyfin server that hosts all my media. Owning it yourself rather than renting it from a corpo is the way to go.
As soon as I started doing that, I hopped distros.
I love how there is an entire group of people who think it’s perfectly normal to “fight” the company that makes the OS they use.
(This message brought to you by the Linux gang.)
x86 2-in-1s already exist.
I’d like one with an x86 CPU, but it would be nice to have ARM as an option.
Yeah, like the Surface Pro. Basically a tablet PC with a keyboard/trackpad attachment.
This is all well and good, but what I really want is a Framework 2-in-1. That would be drool worthy.
I’m sure he’ll justify it to himself immediately. He’s already sunk so much cost.
It’s not about looking at them on that device, it’s about them looking good when viewed on any device, like if I text a photo to my wife and she looks at it on her phone.
I want a device like this to exist, but every single time a company comes out with an e-ink phone, there’s some huge compromise. Usually, it’s the camera.
I’d like a smart phone with the latest Android, a great camera, and a color e-ink display. I’ve yet to find one.
At this point, I’m afraid to even boot up my windows partition. It’s only there to build windows versions of my software, but maybe that’s not worth it.
I haven’t had a power outage in about ten years, between SDG&E, PG&E, and SoCal Edison. Meanwhile, Texas has regular power outages. So just what are you on about?
I bet those businesses who relocated from Cali to Texas are loving those power prices.
Oh yeah, they already left Texas.
Hell yeah! Get that shit… OUTTA HERE!!!
Ok but seriously, that is a very good reason to ban it. Who knows what would happen if the AI just fully ripped someone else’s code off that’s supposed to be like GPL licensed or something. If humans can plagiarize, than AIs can plagiarize.
But also, how are they still using CVS? CVS is so slow and so bad. Even Subversion would be an upgrade.
Yeah, I read their about page. I wouldn’t trust them as a lone voice on something, but if other groups come to the same conclusion, sure. But mostly, I don’t trust articles with AI image headers. It makes it seem like the article is written by a bot.
