We use Everything for that now
We use Everything for that now
For simple free ad blocking, you can use Brave browser.
For paid options, there are Safari extensions (I haven’t tried these but have read about them): Vinegar does ad blocking and there is also a SponsorBlock extension.
Worked for me last week
I did hit enter, but only once. Markdown needed 2 enters to not carry to the next return, at least in this app (thunder). I added a second return and it should display correctly now.
Fixed
it’s not supposed to be
That’s the issue. That might be fine for you, but for others we would like it to be. The limitation isn’t hardware, so let the users decide whether they want it to be more than a big iPhone.
And I (don’t) feel fine
Because when you have shareholders, there’s no such thing as “we’re profitable enough”. Shareholders always demand more. Ads means more profit, at least in the short term. Next quarter profits are all that matter to public companies.
It’s obscene, but it’s the way it is.
As someone who works IT supporting senior citizens, this forced switch is really bad. The mail and calendar app was simple and great for them, and this change sucks. Thunderbird has not been a viable option with those I’ve tried so far - too different and too complicated for them.
Maybe a DBrand skin for Airpods?
I have this blocked with Blokada locally on my Shield and can confirm it works great. I also prefer the stock launcher just without all the ad junk.
I recently bought a TCL TV with Android TV and I was hoping this trick would work with it but it didn’t. So if anyone knows how to make the TCL Android TV launcher interface “stock” and stay that way feel free to point it out.
There is no reason why this shouldn’t be on GitHub since it’s likely just a bunch of ADB commands anyway. In the Reddit thread the author repeatedly refused to acknowledge or address the calls to make the tool open source. No thanks, seems too shady to me.
Absolutely this is wonderful news
If that’s the case, install Vinegar and SponsorBlock and you’re good to go
I’m a big fan of PDF Expert. There’s a paid track for editing, but I believe viewing is free. I paid for editing a long time ago when it was on sale and I love it. I’d pay again if there was an Android version.
You should probably ask this in a piracy community. I’m not sure if answering here is against the rules.
I don’t think anyone here is blaming the users, the comments are saying they shouldn’t be surprised.
Users blatantly violate TOS > company bans account > shocked Pikachu face
I agree with the above commenter that they should have expected this. I remember watching SnazzyLabs video about Beeper when it was about to come out, and the video essentially said ‘people have been doing this for awhile, I don’t think Apple will care about Beeper’ and I thought oh yes they will.
Do I think Apple is in the right here? No. Am I surprised they’re taking this action? Also no.
I have a pack of these, although perhaps not this specific brand. I swear by them. Mini and micro usb can die in a fire please.
Baked in AI makes C Suite and shareholders happy. That’s about it.
