I noticed it on my series 7. Before I got at least a bit more than 24 hours of normal use with the screen always on. Now it is getting about 4 or 5 hours less.

You can import custom ringtones using the GarageBand App. It isn’t very straightforward but definitely possible.

I don’t believe the phones are intentionally designed to be less durable and personally I applaud making the phones easier to repair. But part of me wonders if whatever changes they made to make the phone easier to repair also made it a less durable.
