You’re going to hate this answer, but yes. Believe it or not, countries hate when civil unrest starts to manifest as damage to GDP.

67·13 days agoHey, if you’re anti-AI you shouldn’t be using apple products. I understand that owning a device can be difficult to move away from without an additional purchase, but Apple is still listening to you and reading your data. Your usage statistics are being used to prove to retailers that their products are worth selling to their customers. Even using an old iPhone is a silent vote for Apple to continue their trajectory
I’ve been 3D printing since about 2014, real early on with early Prusa stuff and the Reprap. I did a few years of resin printing when I was playing 40k during COVID.
I highly recommend the Centauri Carbon/Carbon 2 by Elegoo. As said elsewhere in here, it’s just about as easy as 3d printing can get. They send you a video to follow for set up and you can start printing within an hour reasonably with no experience.
Bambu is similarly easy, but Elegoo isn’t hostile towards its users in the same way. The Centauri Carbon/2 is best price to performance combined with ease of use that I think is currently for sale.

politics @lemmy.world•Will Tennessee try to execute Christa Pike again? They might.
4·20 days agoTo me, reason number 4 is the most important reason I see in modern America. I think if we are a society that believes in execution, we should acknowledge that violence is violent. We should be forced to watch it happen.
For what it’s worth, I also oppose the death penalty. I also believe that a life sentence without parole is also a death penalty. What life are we offering to life sentencees without parole? A lifetime tax burden on their state in exchange for what? Our goal should be reformation instead of exploitation.

4·2 months agoWell then, I’d look into car bombing Sony executives. Sounds like it’s more your speed. Maybe hack into their servers and leak all the info and emails. You could also find their personal addresses and personally threaten individual executives.

politics @lemmy.world•Polls Show 5 Democratic Socialist Positions Have Traction With Republicans
1·2 months agoI find most socialist positions to be popular with Republicans, right up to the point they find out those are socialist positions. These people vote for their team, full stop. They’ve made an apostate culture by tying deeply to Christianity’s existing apostate culture. If they vote blue, they may as well leave their family and go straight to hell.
