The same goes for a lot of YouTube channels.
In fact, I opened a Patreon account just to show a little monthly support for an excellent, criminally underrated creator of videos on astronomy and its’ history, ParallaxNick.
Among other topics, the guy recently finished a four-part series on Galileo, a two-parter on Kepler before that, a single on Copernicus before that. By my calculations, I’m guessing a six-part masterpiece on Newton is right around the corner.

“Why not get ten astronauts, then train them to use paint?”

Then the idiot owner - “the king of highway billboards” I’m told - doubled down on having two superstars surrounded by replacement-level players, which will never get the team anywhere important but it does fill a few seats on a day-to-day basis. Well… both superstars are out of the picture. Now what do you do?
Trout may never get a World Series ring, but at least the weather’s nice in his home stadium. And LA has a bunch of daily direct flights to Tokyo for Ohtani and from Tokyo - maybe probably also Osaka - for his fans, with no layover hassles to deal with. Quality of life for both, in details unrelated to the ballfield.
What the hell?!! Just this morning I told a bit about Mitnick’s story to my sister and my wife, separately, I’d never done that before with either. I haven’t talked about Mitnick with anyone in years. Until just this morning, and now 12 hours later, this.
