Well you brought up your opinion. Which is fine. It’s valid. I don’t agree with it, but that’s for you to keep, not me. But then I gave you my opinion. And now you seem upset and irate. You posted an epic store neutral opinion in a thread where nearly everyone is dogging on them. And you seemed clueless. So I gave my perspective on the epic game store. That’s a possibility. You could also make a point that it’s cultural at this point to use steam if you PC game. The exact reason steam is used is split across many different points. However, I stand by my statement. If games like league, valorant, osrs, or anything from blizzard can exist strongly in the pc scene, I think it heavily refutes your points. For those people at least. These are all games that don’t use (or for some are mainly used by) the steam client.

You can be upset about it, but humans are dumb. Language is dumb. Terms that people have came up with, the definition that has changed over time, and how it does not relate to things in the present is dumb. Nothing will ever be exactly how you or anybody else wants it to be. It’s a collective that you just have to accept as it is.

That being said, feminism has old roots when we used to pump our wives full of lithium and give them lobotomies. Treating them as equals was not something that was even discussed. You could say you were an egalitarian, but then you would have to also admit you liked people of color, or LGBTQ people. And that was a step too far for some.

Also its not excluding half the population. It’s INCLUDING them. Men are included by default. It’s a term that allows the conversation for how shitty women are typically treated to exist.

That’s because I wasn’t talking about my opinion of the game. I was talking about my opinions on the store. Crazy how I wouldn’t bring up the game when the conversation is about the store. Let me rephrase it for you. If the game i have the most hours in and I love the most suddenly became an epic exclusive I would never play it again.

GoG has been a competitor for as long as I can remember. It’s not exactly a fair comparison because they mostly carry older games. But you can buy a ton of games off GoG. Itch.io exists, however it’s a bit niche. Origin, humble bundle, Microsoft store. You can use all of these and get the majority of the games steam offers. Why don’t people? Because steam is just better. Steam has competition. It has a ton. People don’t feel that way cause EVERYONE who games on PC buys from steam. But it’s not because steam has a monopoly, it’s because steam offers more than their competitors, and does it better.

I don’t like monopolies. I agree with you. However, a monopoly existing because they are snuffing out the competition and forcing it to be the only option for consumers is different than a monopoly that exists because consumers choose it over and over again because of their pro consumer policies.

Now because this makes it seem like I’m saying “steam is the best”, there’s a good bit of stuff steam has done that I don’t like. But they understand what the gaming scene is and not just see the consumers as cash cows.

Steam has made great strides in helping to make the gaming scene more consumer friendly. They constantly have sales, make refunds extremely easy (and in some cases have forced refunds), and are even now setting guidelines to battle passes and how you can’t just advertise it as a battle pass and instead have to list whats in it. Epic hates consumers and their main business strategy is to force business by paying publishers to only release on their store.

It doesn’t matter how good the game is, I’m not purchasing from a store that doesn’t have the customer in mind.

You’ve most certainly seen it to be applicable. The issue is, the most arrogant people are always the loudest. People who claim to be feminist, but are terfs or misandrist usually garner the most negative attention and people start to only believe that feminism only means that thing. Feminism isn’t very eye catching. People who are it don’t scream at the top of their lungs.

Feminism is more widespread than you might believe too. Cause it’s really really simple. Women and men are equal, deserve equal rights and for the majority of examples, can perform the same tasks.

I really enjoy The Foundation. It almost gives you whiplash by switching between slow burn and intense action. But I do not mean that in a bad way whatsoever. A really cool aspect of the show is that it does not take place over the span of a normal movie. It takes place over a couple(?) of centuries. There’s different characters that come and go, and some others that have other ways of surviving the long time span. But it really shows you the long term consequences of certain actions.

Shrinking is incredibly good if you enjoyed Ted Lasso. They characters are real and don’t make stupid “ish” decisions because they understand consequences exist. They also dont use movie logic. If something happens, it’s not brushed under the rug, but it’s also not blown out of proportion. It is dealt with how humans would actually deal with it. The show relies on good characters, and real life issues dealt with in a new goofy way. The only issue I have is they kinda let the train off the rails a little in season two, but it’s still very grounded compared to most all other media.

It’s not to be taken at face value. This song is about a man who struggles with addiction. He’s stuck in a relationship with a nasty person all for the sake of his daughter. He’s rapping with raw emotions.

You not supposed to listen to it and be like “ah fuck yeah. Murder is cool”. You’re supposed to listen to it and feel the same emotions he feels, which is vehement rage and desperation.

People may think he’s crazy, but part of psychedelics is hypersensitivity. I doubt he could actually see in the dark and smell landmines, but his brain probably recognized very small details and fabricated hallucinations based on what little he did pick up on.
