I was applying the story to the states who also share a problem in this, sorry for the confusion
Yes, and I was asking a tangential question which was most prevalent to my own experiences and living situation.
The states have a very similar problem with law enforcement and placing their own cameras all over too. If anyone needs reference check out these Flock cameras.
I’m just not convinced that there is one government out there that doesn’t spy on its people one way or another.
They’ll never ever give up the ability to collect intel on its own people, but we can sure put up a fight and hold them off as best we can.
Wonder how the founding fathers would feel about this, but kinda expect just to find out they were doing the same thing but with physical people/spies
I never claimed that, humans discoveries are just new permutations of observed phenomena. Every single mechanism of the universe is a permutation of the baseline functionality: physics. Therefore, if we’re shitting on permutations, you’re shitting on all of science. AI can do what we do faster. It’s just applied “knowledge” - no different than humans. In fact, that’s the whole point of neural networks, to emulate what our brains literally do right now.
You compared AI to googling bro
I’m done with this convo lmao
By this very same logic, nobody has ever discovered anything because they’re just speeding someone else’s plans of improving or deriving from someone else’s findings
Genius.
My favorite part is the one where you skipped over exactly what I was talking about
What a terribly ignorant thing to say, when people make these armchair comments they’re only hurting ordinary people that can make real benefits from using the technology.
Eyeroll headline
… you mean like how most investments operate in the US? No news here, just another example of how the FTC and FCC are a joke and another example of how the govt fails to properly protect its people from bullshit, fraud, and control by corps.
For the record, AI research and capabilities aren’t locked to premium services or businesses.
It’s a mathematical concept that often are publically published. Don’t forget this sector belongs to techies and enthusiasts just as it is to career “researchers”
So long as the govt doesn’t touch concept, we can make and make and make to our hearts content. Training data is also collectible and source-able by anyone.
Last, I’m not against collaboration with a potential enemy so long as it benefits both parties equally and doesn’t exacerbate any existing problems or imbalances in power
They’ll do anything to slow the progress of publically accessible power.
Fight them tooth and nail. Self governance over interference from ignorant, decrepit politicians.
Also stop using copyrighted materials when training. You put in the extra mile now, and you’ll be able to make your own (automated) copyright material.
Yeah fast company .com is my go to for professional interviews fs
Came here to say this! Did you see the one where he tried to make the bullet proof wood too?
So much left to be discovered in this world! 🤩
You’re a jack ass.
Cool name, did you bother to look yourself?
Woah big shocker, anyway
They very specifically said political Christianity to be fair
Okay, I can see why that correction would maybe argue specifics against being 1:1 with Russian troll factories but even you just said the magic word: “similar to” which is obviously pretty loose, hence my distaste for the pedantics.
Overall, I agree though - most countries should be doing this just to counteract other countries doing this until we can start calling out ourselves for doing these things
change yourself, change the world and that
See case in point
