    In Fritz Lang’s Metropolis (1927), workers have to fine tune a huge machine for hours and when one of them stops, the machine turns into the evil Moloch that eats the workers.

    This seems relevant somehow.

      I guess it’s always been like that, problem is the more complex and the more we rely on a certain piece of technology the more catastrophic it is when it fails.
