        I mainly think of Virginia opossums, but they have these in Australia. Its a different, but similar species.

          I’ve never seen these Australian possums before. The closest animal we have in the US is a small animal people keep as pets, which I guess is a a relative, now that I look it up.

        They’re Possums. Possum Magic is a famous Australian children’s book about a possum who gets turned invisible by her mum.

          I’m not familiar with children’s books, or with this specific type of possum. Their bodies and markings look similar to sugar gliders, which I guess are also a type of possum.
