Fascists are all about hypocrisy. It is a way to dominate and show you are above the rules. The rules are for sheep, not lions
100% I don’t know why this didn’t sink in with people on the left a long fucking time ago. I don’t think pointing out hypocrisy is necessarily a bad idea as long as you’re not pointing it out with the expectation that doing so will make them change their behavior.
Just my opinion, but anything you can do to:
Not play into their made up victimhood narrative
Draw attention to the fact that they’re whiny little titty babies (which usually happens by default when you do 1) is a winning strategy.
