Ugh, every time a seemingly basic finding is confirmed scientifically there’s at least on person saying that.

So great that everyone already knew, but this is now scientifically explored and recorded with mapped brain regions and all. That might not mean much to you, but it is still gained knowledge, no matter if everyone already knew.

It actually means a lot to me, and I’m super glad this study happened. I love science and learning! The real meat of the study seems much more interesting than the headline, anyway.

My comment was not a dismissal. It was an affirmation!

Then I apologize, it just happens so much and this time just tipped me over to write a comment.

My husky seems aloof too, but he does show his care in very small and reserved ways. It ends up really touching.

Last night we had a really spooky encounter with a guy. Dude seemed distressed, I checked in on him, and while it was pleasant at first it devolved. Once we got home I was really rattled, and Teeko who normally goes out to sleep on the balcony, stayed next to my bed all night.

My one dog has never shown any indication of recognizing sadness. For another one…questionable.

    Scared they get right away.

Again the old paradigm of domestication. That is so wrong!

Humans and dogs developed an evolved a symbiotic relationship over something like 30.000 years. That said, we developed a leader-follower relationship.

Also, dogs don’t descend from modern wolves, but rather evolved along with modern wolves. Both descent ants of an extinct primitive wolf.
