I (32 F) like the look/vibe (love the flannel/plaid look especially). I also like how intimidating they can be. I’m not sure how I’d go about trying to find one, though.

I’m really surprised to see the vote ratios here. I mean, I assume the person you’re replying to isn’t actually a racist, but the association of black guys with being thugs definitely is.

      Check your biases.

I clearly meant that they adopted black culture in terms of mannerisms, dress, and speech.

I think you’re the first one who used the phrase lower class behavior here. Which is kinda telling…

That’s the dictionary definition of Chav:

a young person of a type characterized by coarse and brash behavior (with connotations of low social status).

Note, this says “connotations of low social status.” The “urban black” culture usually has this same connotation. It isn’t a rule that people from either of these groups have low social status, it’s just associated with it. This is not racist, though the association could be viewed as problematic, but that is a cultural issue, not an issue with what the user above said.

They didn’t say urban. They said act and dress like a black guy. What do you think “acting and dressing like a black guy” means, exactly?

Sounds like you have an idea of what it means to you and are trying to foist that upon others.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
