Canadian e-bike specialist Nireeka thought it would be a good idea to launch the Spectrx, an ultra-high-power electric mountain bike that almost makes no sense.

6 kilowatts and 280 Nm of torque is definitely overkill for a pedal-assist bicycle.

    Peak torque, measured somewhere. For an electric motor that’s usually hold or near zero rpm torque. A computer does the controlling.

    But, yeah. Crazy number.
