    I got the intent but a simple “I don’t think he should” or “I don’t think that’s a good idea” reads much better. People don’t really talk like that, at least not anymore. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that sentiment expressed that way lol.

      Definitely heard people taking like that.

      Also, re “not anymore” this is almost 40 years old, remember.

        I mean I added the not anymore because I realized lol.

        “I do not think he would better” just doesn’t seem right to me.

        I take it back. I was celebrating and cross-faded last night. Forgot that “You’d better blahblahblah” was a colloquial phrase. It’s just when you unabbreviate the contractions it is very awkwardly worded. He pushed it a bit lol. My bad.
