Does no one on FB come along and tell these people they’re full of shit or do they create their own echo chamber on the subject? I’m betting the later.
I’ve tried a few times on Facebook or places like the gang stalking Reddit. You just get more word salad, accusations, and threats.
When you talk to people experiencing delusions, it’s never an effective strategy to try to prove the delusions wrong. You just become part of the conspiracy, which further confirms it in their head. You can try some gentle redirections or a few questions, suggest that maybe they reach out to someone safe, but a direct attack on their beliefs will just cause them to double down.
