The president is attempting to keep calm in front of the cameras, but behind the scenes he’s fuming.

Donald Trump is reportedly getting more and more fed up with his administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein drama that has consumed headlines for weeks.

Trump is frustrated that the scandal has overshadowed his agenda and dominated the news, two people familiar with his thinking told The Washington Post in a Sunday report.

Nearly a dozen sources close to the situation spoke to the Post about the issue, painting a picture of an administration adrift, lacking a clear strategy and blindsided by the intensity of the backlash—particularly from Trump’s own base. Many officials had reportedly hoped that Americans would move on from the unreleased Epstein files, underestimating the sustained outrage.

I hope you are right, but my highest fear is that Trump isn’t pusshing bills through congress.

by that, I ean the congress is in control and want to pass such bills without loss of face.

Then who better than trump (or whatever president) to autopen everything thatwas handled by a middle man, then make a show of “How Trump is bad and bullying us! Bwaaahhh!!!” and then just let the bill pass because that was the plan from the begining.

But again, I really hope that I am wrong and spurting some tin-foil hat nonsense.

Oh he is definitely being used as a tool, but he’s only a useful tool for these purposes because of that political capital. He doesn’t design the bills, he’s dumber than shit and doesn’t even care about politics or the country. But he DOES care about being the “bossman” in charge, and he loves to use that feeling to flex over congress and other political stages, and he can simply because people are scared of his base and perceived mandate, and how unstable he is with his doling out of punishments and massive changes seemingly without any consequence, he strikes fear into agencies that he will just close them down if he doesn’t like them, conversely they also know that he gives rewards with equal unhinged, consequence-less fervor and will make people heads of agencies just for saying something nice about him, so he’s lit washington on fire with Chaos and that’s what his admin has wanted all along.

Look at it this way. The new immigration policy, if you want to call it that, that’s not something Trump designed and planned. It’s entirely Stephen “The Slime Prince” Miller. But Miller would NEVER have gotten that through without Trump backing it. Nobody likes Miller, even the people who share his values or lack thereof. Since he’s so unlikable, he needs that mandate force behind Trump to get his way.

Without Trump, the right and republicans can still do massive harm to our country, but opposition forces would have a lot more power against him, and everyone on both sides of aisle would have no idea what to do without him. They look around at each other and have no clue who is a real believer and who has just been going along with the flow. Without Trump the government will go back into standstill mode like it usually is, for better or worse. (Anything is better than the direction we’re going now.)
