They’ve fought tooth and nail to keep everyone who might have been able to prevent this disaster away from the levers of power. The Democrats are the rachet preventing the rest of the country from stopping (or gasp reversing) the Republican-led march to fascism.
They’re active participants in the fascist take over. They normalize fascism and act as controlled opposition to keep those who would oppose it out of power and out of the conversation
