I appreciate that ProtonVPN offers ipv6 support for their linux client, however my home internet (Tmobile) doesn’t work at all when ipv6 is turned on

So I have to turn it off via settings:

IPv6 Tunnels IPv6 traffic through the VPN. Can enhance compatibility with IPv6 networks.

My question is, does turning it off post any privacy risk, e.g. IPv6 leak? or compatibility issues in general?

Thanks!

I am not super knowledgeable about networking

But reading IPv6 routing rules led me to turn if off outright rather than be precise

Fwiw, ipv6 is not insecure by default. Most firewalls, if not all, block incoming connections by default and Nat is not security.

That and ipv6 privacy addresses nullify privacy and security concerns.
