“I am not going to participate in this because it’s not legal, and I don’t want to promote something that is against our president’s laws, as well as against my own religious beliefs”
Having one douchebag student out of a whole classroom is nothing new. The douchebag being indulged by the powers that be is. The problem isn’t the kids, it’s the old fucks in charge.
What’s sad is that while these students are technically adults, they are being coddled like little babies.
If you cannot come into contact with something that conflicts with your beliefs during college, you are a thin-skinned little snowflake and need to get the fuck over it.
That’s what college is for, FFS. It’s not just supposed to be a trade school that is there to reinforce the beliefs and preconceptions of every student. If you come out of school believing the exact same things as when you went in, well, then, that can be considered a failed education.
The kids are not alright

kowtow or half the campus gets defunded is a hell of a drug.
turns out higher education also only cares about money. Who woulda ever thought
Yeah, professors should pay for rent and groceries with their love of teaching, that’ll work /s
Yeah, because professors are the ones raking in millions of dollars per year and driving up the cost of college so high. 🙄
How does threatening to pull state funding over culture war bullshit have anything to do with keeping costs down?
The professors are not the ones getting paid the most. Not by a long shot
My salary was not covering the cost of living and raising a family. Bailed on the US ed system for greener pastures.
A brief visit to College Station will fiercely dispel that notion. Most aggies regardless of age are in favor of this.
I wouldn’t trust a school that thinks the executive branch makes the laws anyway.

What’s this? A campus protest? I thought this sort of thing got you expelled now. Hmmm
It was never about the act. That’s protected. The content, however… that’s sedition.
You don’t like our president’s laws?! /s
God forbid, literally it appears, you learn something new in college.
