      I got this (1-5 is like A-F in my country, but I’ll go with the letters anyway):

      A = +€1
      B = +€0.50
      C = €0
      D = -€0.50
      F = -€1
      Teacher’s note = -€1

      With some static monthly base. At first, the base was low enough I sometimes got debt as my pocket money in middle school…

      Teacher’s notes were even for shit like “doesn’t have a pen” or “pencil not sharp enough”.

        I’m sorry, your teachers would really send a note home if your pencil was insufficiently sharp, rather than just telling you to sharpen it? Jesus christ.

          I once was made to sit out from recess for… I don’t know, like 4 times, which means two days of no recess, for not bringing a pencil to the reading circle.

          Some teachers are shit, and others only know punishment as a way to correct behavior and then try to apply it to shaping behavior.

              There’s only two types of teachers you get at the pay level most schools have and the ones that genuinely care and just want to better children through education are few and far between.

                do i not know what recess means, or do you just go from class to class without breaks?

                edit: i don’t know what recess means. i thought it was generally a break between two classes. apparently you have those plus longer ones called recess. in that case that should be normal.
