Greene said she’s “not a fan” of Obamacare but complained that her “own adult children’s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE” if Congress ignores the issue.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., broke with her party Monday evening by calling for action on expiring Obamacare subsidies to avoid premium hikes, adding a prominent MAGA voice to the cause led by Democrats.

In a long post on X, Greene, the far-right MAGA firebrand, made it clear she was not in Congress when the 2010 law passed.

“Let’s just say as nicely as possible, I’m not a fan,” she wrote. “But I’m going to go against everyone on this issue because when the tax credits expire this year my own adult children’s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE, along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district.”

No it isn’t. This is typical for the conservative mindset, they are against rights and helping others until an issue touches them or someone close to them personally, they they agree with liberals, but just on that one thing.

If she had a niece or nephew come out as trans she’d suddenly be announcing “hey maybe we don’t have this banning trans people from school sports thing right” because it’s no longer someone else’s problem.

I mean yes, but this is still interesting because, unlike the other ghouls, Green seems to… believe in something?

You know, you might be on to something here. MTG acts like conservative VOTERS, who are real people who just only feel empathy for those they know personally. Compared to conservative POLITICIANS, who I am convinced are lizards who know only fear and reward, MTG is dangerously one of the real people.

I would need more data points to draw conclusions. I will say the Epstein files part was surprising. We’ll see where she goes on that issue.

She’s planning to run for President. And she is much more in touch with popular sentiment than Trump, who doesn’t care about elections anymore.
