Gavin Newsom go away, you are the fakest, most superficial, visionless resistance fighter I can possibly imagine.

I know he’s less theft ideal… But at least he’s one of the few officials repeatedly going publicly against trump. So many people are either quiet or supportive of it.

Enemy of my enemy etc. Not ideal bed fellows but you gotta make some alliances to take down the fascists. Division works in their favour, it’s literally their tactic

Nope, rallying behind someone like Gavin Newsom is a massive strategic mistake, enemy of your enemy can still absolutely be your enemy and honestly I get the strong feeling Gavin Newsom enjoys the WWE style grandstanding of being a fighter against Trump far more than he actually desires to resist the content of Trump’s political actions and because of that I think it is dangerous to keep giving Gavin Newsom the limelight unquestioned.

I didn’t say rally behind him though. I just see people saying nothing but negative things about him whenever he comes up.

It’s like everyone constantly going against Kamala Harris. Yes, you’re correct, yes it’s shit. She supported Israel too… But sewing division and not voting leads to trump getting into power, which is much worse for Palestinians. Let alone all the fashy, nazi shit.

There are much better candidates they newsom that should get support for running in the future. But attacking him everytime he’s mentioned isn’t super constructive to the ultimate goal, not having Nazis in power.

Gotta out the really bad first, then push for better.

No, no we don’t we doom ourselves by taking that kind of cynical “not too much now!” kind of philosophy towards progress and reform. The last presidential election thoroughly proved that selling yourself as the lesser of two evils is not a winning political strategy, period. End of story.
