I went to my favorite public spot to photograph birds and it was almost entirely black-capped chickadees today. I did spot a red-winged black bird and a blue jay, but they didn’t stick around to model.

Let me know which is your favorite.

The last one I can hear it saying “chick-a-dee-dee”
I like that one a lot too. The background colors are beautiful.
These are exactly why I subscribe. So beautiful. Thank you for posting them. Incidentally, the backgrounds are magnificent, especially on #s 1, 3, and 5: the hints of various colors behind the pink give them so much life.
Thank you. I’ve been having a good time birding and learning photography.
My 6 year old daughter’s nickname is Chickadee and I’m going show her all these. Thank you for sharing.
Last one is my favorite.
Thanks for sharing them. I like that one a lot too. I just wish it was a bit more sharp.
Here are some bonus ones that didn’t make the cut.

Thank you so much for these! She loves them. Her favorite is the bonus one chilling in the branches.
What a cutie! Great photos, I hope to be able to do this someday
Thank you. Honestly about a month of getting used to my equipment and a little practice is all it took. The camera does all the hard work. I’m just cognizant of my surroundings and of the birds behavior.
