Do not dillute the term Nazi. Trump isn’t Hitler and there are no plans by any US government to seize foreign land as a habitat for the US master race. They’re fascists but not Nazis.

You also forgot to mention racism.

Trump and the Republican party are certainly fascist. Perhaps not traditional Nazi but certainly Neo-Nazi in it’s white supremacy, white nativism, and ultranationalism. He is going to do mass deportations, which in practice means concentration camps, will use police and military to ‘deal with’ the ‘enemies within’ meaning US citizens, and have litterally used Hitlarian rhetoric such as ‘Immigrants are poisoning the blood of our nation’ These are all straight up Hitlarian. The Madison Square Garden was a Nazi rally, where ultranationalism and xenophobia were way more prevalent than in 1939.

You can certainly call Trump a neonazi. I agree with that. I wouldn’t do it because I don’t think his ideology a good enough fit for all the ideas that Neo-Nazi means (e.g. the afformentioned master race habitat expansion) so it can sound like accusing him of ideas he doesn’t have.

Also I assume you are missing some facts. So let me give you those.

Concentration Camps are not the same as Death Camps. Both are horrible but creating a system to efficiently deport immigrants and creating a system to efficiently murder immigrants are two very different things.

The Kristallnacht happened in 1938. all over Germany a couple hundred jews were killed by the joint effort of NSDAP groups and german civilians. 1400 jewish religious sites were destroyed. All in a few days. The Nuremberg Laws were passed in even earlier in 1935. They wrote into law that Jews and their descendants weren’t part of the german people. That was the justification to illegalise Jewish and non Jewish marriagees.

Whether something similar to kristallnacht happens with immigrants here, I don’t know but I wouldn’t put it outside the realm of possibility. Yes, we know mass deportations will lead directly to concentration camps. Whether that gets ramped up to death camps no one can say right now. I don’t think it’s likely so far but Trump is unpredictable. Hopefully we don’t see any of that.

I will say that there is ‘master race’ ideology inherent to white supremacy and white nativism. Border expansions into Mexico or Canada seem unlikely, I bet it’ll be more an attempt to further expand US Imperialism and continuing to embolden Israel’s Settler Colonialist expansion in the Middle East

This sure feels like the beginning of the collapse of the American Empire, and besides the slim hope of popular resistance, all of it seems to be heading in a very bad direction

The foreign conquest comes later once they’ve seized total power and neutralized the internal opposition.

They’re not going to just sit on a dozen carrier battle groups and the largest functioning nuclear arsenal chief.

Bullshit. People are Nazis because they’re assholes and it lets them them rationalise their assholery. Whatever excuse they come up with is incidental.

This mindset is dangerous, nobody is evil for the sake of it (at last 9999 of 10000 people aren’t) you can’t call people assholes and expect them to listen to you… Thats not how to human.

They won’t listen to you no matter what. This kind of “enlightened centrism” is a huge part of what got us into this mess. Trying to compromise with Nazis just means the Nazis win. Just look at history., there are plenty of examples.

Funnily enough, this is a part of the reason why the dems lost the election.

If that was the actual reason behind Nazism, German would’ve became Nazi in the early 20s.

The real Nazis were just as pathetic as the modern wannabes.

Further have to say in fairness to the average american (which… apparently the average american voted for trump).

It’s not just the price of eggs… it’s basically everything… simply in anecdotal evidence, in the last few years, the price of all living essentials went up. Most people are experiencing their average grocery trip going up 50% or more… Rents skyrocketing etc…

and the democrats were bad at messaging. When things are hard, people blame the leaders, and Biden does get a lot of credit for, minimizing the damages covid did to our prices etc… Unfortunately the average american heard his response to it as “I did great, everything is good now”. Which didn’t work, because while things may be as good as they could be with the cards that fell… they are very far from good.

So yes, it’s lack of knowledge. Certainly the biggest point to be made is, trumps tariff plan is massively going to raise the price on everything, economist after economist has pointed out it will raise the price. But honestly I didn’t see much of attacking those plans in harris’s attack ads.
