Literally no. She cares about immigrants. She doesn’t care about the community specifically, at all. And doesn’t even care enough to live there. We don’t need to go from someone who responds to the community to someone who doesn’t even care to check the communities needs before doing unnecessary giveaways
hello, are you aware that immigrants are part of the community? ones who are being kidnapped by the state? which she is fighting? maybe it is you who isn’t paying attention to the community.
you outed yourself as a racist, by “community” do you mean white people only?
Community as in the actual future of the community itself, not just the larger socioeconomic underlying issues. Immigrants are part of the community, but they are not the only part of the community. She focuses on charity saviorism, without regard to actual distribution of need, which is not something good for a politician to have.
you even acknowledge that those issues are “larger socioeconomic underlying issues”. you are sad that she isn’t paying attention directly to you? you want her to make you feel special by ignoring when your community gets kidnapped?
…racist. no, I’m saying that she’s trying to buy votes by doing giveaways of materials already supplied by school districts. She’s performative. She won’t even move to the area, instead staying in chicago.
I can have legitimate criticisms against someone who’s anti ice without being pro ice. The fact that you can’t understand that is shocking. She does not care about the community. The community is not just immigrants, it’s everyone interacting, going to school, etc. and she doesn’t care about all of that
the fact that you don’t care your neighbours are being kidnapped, and you’re only complaint is that she’s from Chicago is the reason why you’re racist.
I do care. You’re pulling my lack of care just because I’m criticizing her for legit reasons . And no, of my listed complaints being from chicago was not the only one. You didn’t read the list, did you?
I don’t think we should take seriously, anyone who doesn’t think “neighbours being disappeared by the state based on their race” isn’t the most important issue in their community.
show me another candidate you support that is actually fighting for your community not to be disappeared?
I love how you’re intentionally ignoring what I’m saying to pretend I’m racist. No, I’m not saying it’s good for ice to kidnap people . I’m saying we already care and she pretends we don’t .the community is not only, it includes them as well as others
I don’t like her as a politician for 3 main reasons: performative giveaways, where she gives away what is already provided and pretends her being in charge will allow these things to be provided, which they already are. It shows she doesn’t really care about learning about her community, and instead just prefers to virtue signal.
She is running a campaign without living in the area, with majority of donations from outside the area. Influencer first politician second is a red flag, and especially considering she’s showed bo willingness to actually move into the area despite repeated claims she will shows she’s already lying, not a good sign.
And the third is that despite living in a leas leftist area with someone who deserves to be contested more/not already solidly leftish politics, she decided to run in the district she does not live in.
Going straight to higher office without attempting to gain practice or build up a “resume” in lower office is questionable as well, but less so than the rest.
there is no shortage of people as left as her running in the district to vote for, who do not have nearly as many red flags.
So no policies you disagree with and she faces jail for trying to protect people in the community she’s running for, which I believe you acknowledged in these replies. (You did mention the citizenship status of the people you think she does this for, for some reason though)
Sounds fine to me, you go vote for someone else, sure, but I will prefer someone who’s also willing to endure violence and legal consequences to protect anyone in your community.
You did mention the citizenship status of the people you think she does this for, for some reason though)
“Immigrant” is not a citizenship status. Green card, visa, undocumented, citizen, are citizenship statuses.
I will prefer someone who’s also willing to endure violence and legal consequences to protect anyone in your community.
… Do you think she’s the only one who’s done this? Like honest to god? Because, to be clear, she is not. Off the top of my head biss as well, though I probably won’t be heading to him in the primary. You don’t understand the district, which is why you think she’s the only one like that
You will find the same list of issues on damn near every dem candidate in the district. Her policies are not special here. They’re not different. They’re the baseline norm
Don’t play fucking stupid, you know what I mean and I’m not an english speaker.
Are you dense, I already said I don’t care if you don’t want to vote for her, I just think you have a really big fucking rage about her for a very fucking petty reason, leading me to believe there’s some underlying motivation for having a grudge.
Or you’re just an asshole, who’s petulent because you haven’t done anything in your life and vent that rage by insulting a woman who’s been beaten up in your district, congrats.
She’s not gonna throw you off a roof because of her last name by the way, just to be clear.
And voting based on that is childish if you agree with the policies.
I haven’t called you racist, trying to look for a valid (logically, not morally) reason for your very obvious distaste for someone who is an extremely solid progressive I thought maybe a bit of internalized islamophobia could be one possibility.
Sorry, but your points aren’t hard to understand, they are just childish.
And I should have added native English speaker, I’m a fluent English speaker on A1 level, born and living in Switzerland, so you’ve been argueing with someone on a different continent. Instead of just dodging what policies you disagree with you could have just dismissed everything I say or do 😉
She obviously pays attention to the community, she got thrown to the ground and got hit in the face doing so.
Literally no. She cares about immigrants. She doesn’t care about the community specifically, at all. And doesn’t even care enough to live there. We don’t need to go from someone who responds to the community to someone who doesn’t even care to check the communities needs before doing unnecessary giveaways
That explains it, “She cares about immigrants”

God you are racist

you have no legitimate complaint
I do care. You’re pulling my lack of care just because I’m criticizing her for legit reasons . And no, of my listed complaints being from chicago was not the only one. You didn’t read the list, did you?
Hard to care for what you say
I don’t think we should take seriously, anyone who doesn’t think “neighbours being disappeared by the state based on their race” isn’t the most important issue in their community.

The people who cook your food and build your houses and live in your neighborhood are not the community. Hmmm
I love how you’re intentionally ignoring what I’m saying to pretend I’m racist. No, I’m not saying it’s good for ice to kidnap people . I’m saying we already care and she pretends we don’t .the community is not only, it includes them as well as others

Quite literally, the reason is stated. She doesn’t live in the area.
I am not a racist despite your rabid accusations
You not speaking English seems to be very related to your lack of understanding
And voting based on that is childish if you agree with the policies.
I haven’t called you racist, trying to look for a valid (logically, not morally) reason for your very obvious distaste for someone who is an extremely solid progressive I thought maybe a bit of internalized islamophobia could be one possibility.
