Two episode premiere would have helped answer some questions, imo. I don’t why, HBO gave us a single episode premiere, with lot of exposition and introduction and then some action in episode 2, instead of waiting a whole week for ep2.

I read the books, even as insane as they got. I love the original movie and SciFi mini series. The new movies were not bad. But for some reason, after watching the trailer for this show, I wasn’t feeling it. Not even sure why. Hmm.

I’m glad it’s off to a good start though.

The Sci Fi mini series was great! The best adaptation imo. Even as wooden as the acting was.

The Lynch film I really enjoyed , I view more like a “based on a true story” type movie.

The new ones I felt had the best visual representation, and was casted awesome. Thought they nailed the first one (for the most part), but the second one fell off the rails for me though.

The TV is produced well enough, but if it’s like any of the Dune adaptations or the books for that matter, it’s gonna fall off the rails and make no sense.

I thought that the new movies were bad. I still can’t believe they eliminated the spacing guild from the story, it couldn’t be more important to the main plot. It’s like Exxon paid to make this garbage.
