The tube is bonded to the tire, so just pulling the tube out and patching it isn’t an option, as it’s bonded to the tire. Personally, I just run Slime tubes. They’re a bit thicker than other inner tubes, and they generally stop all puncture leaks. The only exception is if I get a large cut by running over glass or something similar.
