In the mayoral race, Wilson and Harrell diverged greatly on a number of issues, starting with homelessness policy. Wilson was sharply critical of Harrell’s track record, including his unprecedented scaling up of homeless encampment removals. As Bolts reported last month, Seattle conducted more sweeps under Harrell than under his four mayoral predecessors combined.
Wilson told Bolts she’d curb these sweeps and pledged to roll out 4,000 new units of shelter over her first term.

I’m just imagining that homeless bus from South Park switched its sign from California to Seattle.
I feel like red states are about to ramp up their homeless deportations to Seattle just to show the policy is a failure. That needed to be a federal law decades ago: no trafficking homeless individuals to a place where they have no personal or professional connections.
Maybe no trafficking any individuals
Especially since some homeless people have no personal or professional connections at all.
Not necessarily. Nothing to say they don’t reconnect with an estranged sibling or child or that they’re relocating for harvest season.
I’ve lived in CO, UT and AZ. All 3 send their homeless N and to the W. Would only be a matter of time that they end up in the PNW.
