        Yeah, I don’t know if I trust a pest control company to give accurate information about critters in an advertisement for their removal services. They have financial incentive to exaggerate the dangers of wildlife.

      … likelihood of a possum having rabies is quite low. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), less than 1% of all reported rabies cases are in opossums.

      That could mean anything. It could mean that 100% of opossums have rabies but they are either not reported, or rare to see or just low in population. The relevant information would be the likelihood of any opossum you see having rabies.
