actual firefighter here. no we do not assist in riot control. ive not seen it in any recent memory in my 20 years in. anecdotal though this evidence is.
point being; a few good cohorts doing life safety will happen regardless of military existence. let’s support life saving.

I agree for the most part. But the fact is fire hoses being used on civil rights protesters is almost an iconic image
