• My go to has been “I see you still live in a fantasy please contact me when you enter reality” It doesn’t help the situation but I have not found anything that makes them open to the idea that geopolitics might be simpler than one day russia woke up and chose to invade so they can pack up and go home any day. Or the fact that even if that was true Russia doesn’t seem to be planning on doing it so Ukraine needs to sue for peace or get wiped out

Depends on who you’re talking to. Everyone licenses themselves to believe what they think benefits themselves, we do it too. However, some people are forced into more correct positions based on their material conditions, and are more receptive. I think this is just a batch of true believers.

              • I cannot disagree with your analysis, I have also seen the level of belivers in Ukraine winning going down, but I ESPECIALLY on line (slightly more success in person) see lots of the true believers…

I think as the war is (at least appearing to be) in its later stages, the true holdouts are increasingly vocal. It’s a gradual shift, quantitatively they are decreasing in number but qualitatively they are more outspoken.

                  • I hope your right, I could see that being the case but I worry that more people who are not true hold outs are not talking about it as much, but are still disconected from reality
