Take a baseball bat to that piece of shit and stop buying terrible “smart” appliances. I know in some cases it’s getting quite hard (fucking TVs) but for a fridge? Come on now.
If I were dumb enough to own one of these pieces of shit, that screen would see constant need for repair under warranty.

I guess the fact the some dickhead would do that to their customers shocked me so much that I tripped and hit the screen with my fist by accident. I look forward to our future where these companies incentivize landlords with a slice of the pie to install ad laden versions of every appliance. What a utopia we live in!
The “incentive” will be selling the appliances for cheaper. Amazon was/has been doing this with Kindle readers: you can get it cheaper in exchange for ads on the lock screen.
My personal take is that if I’m forced to see ads like this, I’m boycotting the company.
To be fair I use a lot of ad blocking so if I see ads they’re trying extra hard.

I’m guessing that if you set your DNS to AdGuard a lot of this nonsense would go away.
