Wong told NPR that virtually all of his products have increased in price since early this year. For instance, a box of mabo tofu sauce — a popular Sichuan dish — has gone from $2.75 last year to $3.95 at the beginning of this year. “We just had this shipment come in yesterday — it’s $5. We cannot catch up. Every shipment coming in, we have to put a new price on it,” Wong said.
And to this I’d say: they’ve undoubtedly been bombarded with thousands of truths about trump for a decade. They disregarded every fucking one of those truths. I have no sympathy whatsoever for people who rejected truth and never did 15 seconds of googling to learn more. These are deeply, pathologically hateful and uncurious people. I would know because I have a bunch of them in my family.
My own parents, who like to say I’m smart, have never once given a flying fuck when I tried to tell them the truth about trump. They actively don’t want to know. I cannot forgive people for not caring what’s true. They all knew there were consequences for people, themselves included, if they were wrong. THEY DID NOT CARE.
