        I think the pun is that “Sick Man Died” sounds vaguely like / rhymes with Dick van Dyke.

        Spoiler: it’s not a very good pun.

          Well, you’re certainly correct in your assessment of the pun’s quality.

          I’m not a fan of slant rhyme even when it’s close, so it’s even less effective on me I guess.

          Thank you for the explanation, it now makes sense.
