Mangione’s defense team wants prosecutors barred from seeking the death penalty in the federal case.

Attorney General Pam Bondi should have recused herself from Luigi Mangione’s federal murder trial over a “profound” conflict of interest, his attorneys have argued.

Bondi used to be a partner at Ballard Partners, a lobbying firm that represents UnitedHealthcare, and continues to profit from her links to the firm, Mangione’s lawyers argued in a filing late Friday.

Mangione, 27, is accused of fatally shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, 50, on the streets of midtown Manhattan last December. He was arrested five days later at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He has pleaded not guilty to both state and federal charges.

That would be a mistake, she is so incompetent, there is a very good chance she will screw this trial up as bad as all her others and he will go free.

The guy from the CCTV footage of the shooting didn’t have thick eyebrows. They were about as average as eyebrows get.

This case should have been thrown out. Netflix made a show of him depicting him as guilty. This would sway the public opinion and there would be no 12 unbiased person as jurors.

If our next president is a Republican or corporate Democrat, nothing will happen to her.

If we somehow get a populist Dem, then Obstruction of Justice Tampering with Witnesses/Evidence (18 U.S.C. § 1512) comes with a penalty of up to 30 years in federal prison. She would likely get sentenced to 10 and serve about 6 years for her role in the Epstein coverup.

Trump is going to blanket pardon ALL of them, for any crime they have ever committed, or will commit in the future.

We will have to completely invalidate his presidency, due to a rigged election, and thus invalidate every single thing he did. All signed legislation, all executive orders, all pardons, etc. become null and void, and it’s as if they never existed, including his presidential immunity. Then prosecute them all for every single tiny violation they have ever committed in their entire lives, and incarcerate them on Gitmo for life.

You speak with certainty, but so much could happen.

Trump could die any day, by assassin or natural causes, and that would mean it is too late to pardon. Vance would not necessarily pardon anyone - he may treat Trump like a saint, or he might throw him under the bus because the Trump-Epstein sexual assaults and coverups are too politically damaging.

Also, doing a blanket pardon devalues the pardon itself. I think Trump is more likely to selectively pardon: People who have dirt on him, people who bribe him, and people who stay sycophantically loyal to him. Everyone else will get fucked like all the construction workers he never paid.

With all that said, yeah there is a good chance Bondi gets a pardon.

I appreciate the respectful counter, but I can’t agree. He’s already done blanket pardons, including the Jan 6 Traitors, and he won’t hesitate to do it again.

It’s become a MAGA tool, and Vance will use it, too, and probably not much differently. He may choose to pardon those who treated him well, and leave those he resents twisting in the wind.

Our next president will be JD Vance.

I’ve got him slotted in for a swearing in before next Christmas.

No, the next president will be Don Jr, and Trump will be his Chief-of-Staff, and they’ll hire an assistant CoS to do the work, and fetch coffee. Trump will sit at the Resolute Desk, and Jr will sit at a card table with a folding chair.

Nah, I see Don Jr strangling Trump in his sleep and being the first and last trump to see the inside of a jail cell.
