I would happily pull out a bullhorn I keep for such occasions (as I’m sure everyone does, it’s totally normal) and yell into his face “YOUR JESUS SAID TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORS AND SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT TRANS PEOPLE”
But let’s all remember that in those times, your neighbors were your people, your family and tribe; not just a random stranger (which could very well be your neighbor today).

And the word he used for “love” means to actively provide for their needs and well-being. That would include HRT.
