Liminal time.
Hahaha that’s a great way to frame it, I’m yoinking it!
I keep saying our calendar should be like the ancient Egyptians’: twelve months of thirty days each, plus an extra pseudo-month of five days at the end. It would fit perfectly with the liminal Christmas-New Year time we’re in right now.
Kodak time, 13 months of 28 days - which matches 4 weeks a month. But it only gives 1 day to holiday-month.
I say original Roman time. 10 months, 2 months of total hibernation that don’t even have a name.
Need food, so need dates.
Whether you call it late December, intermission, or the dead season: it is truly an interesting time.
