Donald Trump is drawing renewed criticism after responding to the death of Tatiana Schlossberg, granddaughter of the 35th president, John F Kennedy, on Tuesday by reposting criticism of the Kennedy family on Truth Social.
Schlossberg, 35, was an environmental journalist who wrote for The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The New Yorker. She passed away after being diagnosed with a rare type of acute myeloid leukemia, a blood cancer.
But rather than pay tribute to the deceased or express condolences to her grieving family, the president fired out three posts consisting of screenshots of negative comments about the Kennedys’ supposed neglect of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the performing arts venue Trump has taken over this year and rebranded the “Trump Kennedy Center.”
He’s shitting on the Kennedys because he wants people to think the thing that tarnished the legacy of the Kennedy center was anything except trump putting his name on it.
Yup, it’s a basic part of how he works - rather than spend any effort to self-improve, he’ll go out of his way to pull down everyone else to his level so nobody has an advantage of being a better person. (Or gaslight to create that perception, either works fine for him.)
If Trump has a problem with the Kennedys I can think of a Kennedy he could fire…
Because he has dementia. JFK was a Democrat. Therefore Kennedy is bad to the simpleton president who can only speak in propaganda forms.
It’d be really funny if RFK did an assassination over this.
Since we know that RFK Jr lacks conviction as much as he lacks scruples, that seems an unlikely outcome.

Has anyone ever tried to teach Trump the adage “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything”.
I don’t think that adage applies in all circumstances. There are times and places for criticism. But when somebody dies, if you don’t have nice things to say about them and their families, it’s the time to keep your trap shut.
