I used to think these strips were pointing at Calvin as a teenager but being older, I appreciate your interpretation more.I feel like it makes even more sense if you consider that Calvin is an 80’s kid which means his parents were raised in the 50s or 60s. Also based on what we’ve seen of Calvin’s Dad, he probably thinks he’s giving Calvin an important lesson/life experience that’ll be good for him
Funnily enough, as I got older, I actually started enjoy doing it, as long as it’s not too cold outside. Especially when working remotely (sitting in front of a computer all day), it’s a great way to take a break and get some exercise too.
