They’ll be an uneasy ally for the next 20 to 30 years while we burn through the oil we’re stealing from Venezuela. When the cost of mining/ importing lithium becomes more expensive than stealing it from Canada, we’ll start bombing them. Hopefully the empire falls before that happens.

You patch it up as best you can until you either rebuild it or have a new one to move into. That’s what we need to do when it’s beyond saving, try to make it last long enough that we have something to pivot to besides “Mad Max 15: this time with more guns!”
