I season the tofu before the corn starch step with liquid smoke, smoked paprika, garlic and black pepper. Also didn’t have panko so I used Parmesan and almond flour instead…



If you have a tofu press or buy pre pressed tofu you probably save a lot of time.
I lost my tofu press when I moved, so now I usually just do an additional step where I bake the pre seasoned tofu for 10 mins flip it and bake another 10 mins to get most of the water out.
I’m using the froze and thaw technique to remove more water, but it’s still a hassle.
