People keep saying this but even if there’s a violent conflict happening, he cannot suspend voting.
During his first term, he did plenty that he supposedly can’t do. Over the past year, he’s done even more that he supposedly can’t do. I guarantee you he will try to suspend voting in 2028, possibly even this year.
He’s already openly telling Republican states to redistrict, without even some bullshit excuse. He’s directly saying redistrict so we don’t lose control of Congress.
I’m sure he’s going to TRY even if there’s not mass internal violence. There is a point when enough is enough and elections happen regardless of his will.
What other part of the American government has fought his illegal actions ? I can’t think of any meaningful ones. Supreme Court he ignores, Congress he ignores. So what makes you so confident that elections will run if he stops them?
It is going to happen at the state level within states that are not complicit. The Federal government doesn’t control elections. It’ll be up to complicit states to decide if they want to secede at that time.
