The cost of a battery has dropped 90% in the last decade.

    They’re still very expensive.

Why dont ICE haters quote the cost of catalytic converters?

I don’t know, why would they?

I don’t know, why would they?

Because EVs don’t have them and they are expensive. JFC buddy, would a crayon picture help?

Why wouldn’t they quote the cost of spark plugs or cylinder heads or transmission syncros? They’re all part of the same powertrain.

If catalytic converters comprised 80% of the cost of the powertrain, and 30% of the cost of the vehicle, and they ICE more expensive than EVs, they probably would point to that as an explanation for why they’re more expensive. But none of those things are true.
