Renee Nicole Macklin Good, the woman shot dead by an ICE agent on Wednesday, was a loving mom who had just dropped her son off at school, her ex-husband said.
The point isn’t these specific “friends”, the point is, these are what I would consider normal, average people. These are coworkers, some of who I know to be otherwise good and rational people. I honestly would not think that normal people would react with such deference to authority.
Of course this will inform every interaction I have with them from here, but again, the point is, these folks represent the person next to you in line at the grocery store, the person you wave through traffic at a stop sign, the person delivering your amazon packages.
