Renee Nicole Good’s death at the hands of an immigration officer was preceded by a wave of misinformation peddled by right-wing influencers.

On Wednesday morning in south Minneapolis, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer killed Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old American citizen andĀ prize-winning poet, by firing a bullet into the window of her Honda Pilot.

You can, and should, watch theĀ disturbing firsthand video footage of the shootingĀ for yourself, from theĀ multiple angles available.

Otherwise, the same self-professed ā€œcitizen journalistsā€ whose often misleading andĀ Trump administration–backed vertical videos about Minnesota helped bring ICE agents to the city (where they went on toĀ tear-gas outraged protestersĀ andĀ harass high school officials) will feel free to rewrite the story of what really happened here.

There is a reduction of attention in the form of tunneled vision when our fight flight freeze is triggered. The most written about effect is ā€œweapon focusā€. People robbed or threatened with a gun or knife can describe it and the hand holding it in great detail and only infer the rest.

Good odds she had a tunneling effect on whomever was closest. If we play the human probability numbers that’s the most likely scenario.
