There won’t be a civil war. The left would have to fight back for there to be a war. This is just a fascist take-over.
The “official” left - the Dems - might not fight back, but remember that most of their support comes from the sheer desperation of actual leftists having no other viable representation.
Then they need to organize fast or there will be nothing left of democracy.
Civil wars aren’t ordinary election campaigns, they mobilise different groups.
