Dude I keep seeing all of you people bloviating this nonsense. It’s very easy to just tell people “oh yeah just go kill people and risk your life.” And then everyone applauds and upvotes. It’s not about “living in delusion” it’s about how genuinely difficult it is to tell people to just go to war. It’s easy to just armchair this and I keep seeing it all over Lemmy but dude I haven’t even made it a quarter of my life yet, and most of my true cognizant semi adult life has been absolute dogshit. And now suddenly people who don’t live here are telling me to just go die. That’s scary as hell man. I wish people would think before they just type this shit everywhere.

      seriously, especially when…

      1. controlled, precise violence is dramatically more effective than wanton violence

      and…

      1. the overwhelming majority of murders go unsolved (most “solved” murders are via confession, because they’re crimes of passion). it really isnt that hard to pull off if you put even the barest amount of thought into it

anyone who wants to play rambo or whatever can just start making a list and working their way down it, just remember…politicians are replacable, it’s the $ behind the Man you want to go after.

This is a dangerous misunderstanding of statistics. Most murders go unsolved because the victims aren’t considered important by society. The police barely bother to investigate. Go after the bigwigs and they will find you. Look at Mangione. And he was pretty good at covering his tracks compared to most murderers.
