For more than a decade, the United States has faced a relentless and heartbreaking increase in fatal drug overdoses driven by synthetic opioids. A new analysis suggests this trend has suddenly reversed due to a major disruption in the global supply chain of illicit fentanyl. Published in Science, the study indicates that regulatory actions taken by the Chinese government, following high-level diplomatic engagement with the Biden administration, may be the primary driver behind this unexpected decline in mortality.

As always, Democratic work to improve America takes time to yield dividends, which Republicans then get to claim as their own while simultaneously setting up the next problem to be fixed

You forgot the part where Republicans roll back the fixes, and then both claim credit for the fix, and then blame Democrats for shit being broken again.

You mean like destroying our diplomatic relationship by escalating a trade war? A trade war that causes the other country to find other buyers and ends up with that other country actually exporting even more goods building even more good will with the rest of the world?
