They are working on building their own shared index. Ecosia is currently more reliant on Bing than Qwant is, I believe, but they’re both trying to be more independent of the American search overlords.
So basically, qwant the owner. Or ecosia the owner. Or if you really must, duckduckgo or startpage the owner. I can’t recommend yandexing the owner because then you’re just supporting another dictatorship.
It is almost like we should just boycott all big tech.

for example, that recent helicopter crash on the day of that dude’s wedding with his three nieces in the vehicle. that’s fucking tragic. no other way about it.
and my first thought is “I bet there’s a better chance than not that this guy votes republican, I should check that before I feel bad for him”
