This is the Kavanaugh stop in real time. The Supreme Court allowed this to happen with their overturning of Perdomo v. Noem last September.
We are now seeing the consequences of that corrupt decision.

White person here. Why would you want to be white? Here’s the thing about race…it doesn’t fucking matter.
Imagine a species that gets angry at other members of their own species, for having the wrong eye color. Or the wrong shaped finger prints.
It makes no sense! My skin is white. Your skin depending on genes and sun exposure is anywhere from a light tan to a dark tan.
But when you go to work, I’m sure your boss is a dickhead. I’m sure you come home to a family that you love and want to protect. I’m sure you feel underpaid and unappriciated at work. I’m sure you have some household chore or task that you’ve been putting off for 6 months that your wife nags you about.
None of this is unique to you, or your race. It’s everyone. Thats what we’re all going through, throughout all of history. Go back in time and I’m sure George Washingtons wife was asking him when he’s going to fix the squeeky cabinet door. And he’s like “LOOK MARTHA! I’M BUSY AS HELL RUNNING THE COUNTRY! THE BRITISH WAR IS OVER, BUT THEY MIGHT COME BACK! KING GEORGE IS A MASSIVE DICKHEAD! AND RIGHT NOW I’M A LITTLE BUSY TRYING TO ESTABLISH A NEW COUNTRY! I will never understand these people who think one race is better than the other. I mean really. If we’re going to have some arbitrary line in the sand over who’s the master race, it shouldn’t be based on race. It should be based on blood type. At least THAT has some basis in being functionally different!
Jeez…humans out here acting like being born in one country or having dark skin makes any difference at all.
It’s one thing to say it doesn’t matter, it’s another to actually try to go out and make it not matter, because the way our society works right now - especially in the last few years - it absolutely matters. The only way it’s going to change is if we go out and fight to earn equality for everyone, and even when we do that we’ll still need to be vigilant to make sure shit like this doesn’t start happening again.

Race wouldn’t matter. Except for all the racists. My skin is white. When I’m around only others who share that trait, many of them show their true colors thinking they’re in good company. They just fucking tell on themselves.

White people are treated like blonde girls. There’s a slight extra layer you’re treated with. Even if it doesn’t make sense. Unfortunately that’s where we are. Some people aspire to be white. If you’ve ever heard of the baseball player Sammy Sosa, a Hall of Fame level player, he’s white now. Skin bleaching is a thing. Many accused Michael Jackson of the same thing, though he claimed a medical reason. One of the books that a lot of kids read in high school, or at least they did in mine, is also about a black girl who dreams of growing up to be white (The Bluest Eye, I never actually read this book so this characterization might not be fair).
It’s highly common in latino families. We are taught to assimilate. Marry white means success. If you act good enough you will be accepted as one of the white people. A lot of Gen X and Millennials were never taught how to speak spanish. Many latinos claim to be more Spaniard then south American. That’s why a lot of latinos pull the ladder up when they become successful. They think they “made it” and are accepted among white people.
No, the fourth is still law. And, anyone whose rights are violated needs to sue. Hopefully, there are a bunch of lawyers who want an easy payday.
